What aggregate is best for drainage?
20mm Blue Metal and 20mm Recycled Concrete are popular for drainage trenches, behind retaining walls and under slabs. Because the stones are all one size, water has room to flow between them.
What is crusher dust used for?
Crusher dust is the fine material left once rock or concrete has been crushed. It packs down firm, which makes it a common base under pavers, water tanks and garden sheds.
Does recycled concrete perform like blue metal?
Recycled concrete does the job well for base layers, drainage and fill, and usually costs less. Choose blue metal when you need a consistent colour or a structural concrete mix.
