“We ordered some turf which was amazing quality and was organised on their side super fast. We needed to order more and they had it cut and dropped off within 2 days of ordering. They also have great customer service and were great to deal with. Would recommend 100%.”

turf: your questions answered

Which turf copes best with shade in Brisbane?

Of our four varieties, Sir Walter Buffalo handles shade best and suits yards with only a few hours of direct sun a day. For full-sun yards that get a lot of foot traffic, Wintergreen or Zoysia usually suit better.

How much turf do I need?

Measure each section of lawn in square metres (length × width), add them up, then allow about 5% extra for trimming around edges and curves. Turf is ordered per square metre.

What should I lay turf on?

Lay turf over 75–100mm of under turf soil, levelled and lightly compacted. A good base helps the roots take hold quickly and keeps the lawn even as it settles.
