Local deliveries
Jimel trucks, delivering right across the Gold Coast.
Our Gold Coast run follows the M1 corridor on the northern Gold Coast, where new estates in Pimpama, Coomera and Ormeau sit next to established canal and coastal suburbs.
Many coastal gardens sit on sandy ground that drains quickly and dries out, so garden soil to build beds up and mulch to hold moisture are common orders.
Local ground conditions
Building and landscaping on the Gold Coast: what to know
Gold Coast soils vary a lot. Near the beaches and canals they are sandy, while out west and in the hinterland they are heavier clay. Sandy yards drain fast and need better soil for lawns and gardens; clay yards need drainage and a good base. Near the coast, salt spray suits hardy lawns like Zoysia and Sir Walter.
| Typical Gold Coast job | What to order |
|---|---|
| Sandy coastal lawns | Premium under turf soil, then turf |
| Pool surrounds and paths | 20mm river stone |
| Pavers and patios | Crusher dust plus bedding sand |
