DELIVERY AND WET WEATHER POLICY

OVERVIEW

Jimel Transport & Bulk Landscaping Supplies delivers across South East Queensland, including North & South Brisbane, Redlands, the Bay Islands, Logan, Ipswich and the Gold Coast. This policy outlines our delivery process, customer responsibilities, and how we manage deliveries during wet weather.

DELIVERY WINDOWS

Deliveries are scheduled Monday to Saturday. Once your order is confirmed we will provide an estimated delivery day and a time window. Exact arrival times cannot be guaranteed as they depend on traffic, prior jobs, and load conditions.

If you require delivery on a specific day or within a tighter window, please notify us at the time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate.

SITE ACCESS AND PREPARATION

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the delivery site is:

  • Accessible to a heavy vehicle (clear of low branches, gates, parked cars, and overhead wires).
  • On firm, level ground capable of supporting a loaded truck.
  • Clearly marked with the drop-off location, with an adult on site if required.

Our drivers will assess the site on arrival. If access is unsafe or impractical, the load may be placed at the nearest safe location (kerbside) at the driver's discretion. Re-delivery fees may apply if a site cannot be accessed.

DRIVEWAYS AND PROPERTY

Where a customer requests a truck to enter private property (including driveways, lawns, or paths), the customer accepts full responsibility for any damage to the surface, irrigation, concrete, pavers, or underground services. Drivers will warn of obvious risks but cannot inspect for hidden hazards.

WET WEATHER POLICY

Bulk landscaping materials are weather sensitive. For the safety of our drivers, the integrity of your site, and the quality of the product delivered, Jimel reserves the right to delay or reschedule deliveries in wet weather conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Heavy or sustained rainfall before or during the scheduled delivery window.
  • Saturated or boggy ground that poses a risk of bogging, slipping or property damage.
  • Active weather warnings issued by the Bureau of Meteorology for the delivery area.
  • Materials (such as soils, sand, and turf underlay) becoming too wet to load, transport, or place cleanly.

Where a delivery is postponed due to wet weather, we will contact you as early as possible to reschedule for the next available day. No additional rescheduling fee applies for weather-related delays initiated by Jimel.

CUSTOMER-INITIATED CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS

If you need to reschedule or cancel a delivery, please contact us at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery. Cancellations made on the day of delivery, or failed deliveries due to site access issues, may incur a cartage and restocking fee.

QUALITY AND CLAIMS

All materials are inspected before loading. Any concerns regarding the quantity or quality of a delivered product must be raised within 24 hours of delivery, with photos where possible, so we can investigate promptly.
