Quick answer
Under Turf Soil is a rich, matured organic base made for laying new turf on. It’s lighter and easier to work than dense soils, so it spreads, levels and compacts easily by hand or machine. The light texture drains well while holding onto essential nutrients, and the organic content keeps moisture in so you water less. Spread about 100–150mm under new turf.

About the product
Made to go under new turf
New turf needs good soil to root into if it is going to establish quickly. Under turf soil is a rich, matured organic base made for laying turf over. It is much lighter and easier to work than denser soils, so levelling it by machine or by hand is easy. For professional landscapers and DIYers alike, it takes the hard work out of preparing a turf base.
Its light texture is the key: it drains well and still holds on to essential nutrients. Good drainage matters for healthy turf, because water needs to move through the soil without pooling and waterlogging the roots.
The soil is designed to balance air, water and nutrients so roots establish and grow well. Its organic content holds moisture, cuts down how often you need to water and gives your turf a natural supply of nutrients to keep it healthy and lush.
