13tonnes
Body Truck
For smaller orders and tight sites, such as narrow or sloping driveways.
Local deliveries
The northside has older Queenslanders on narrow, sloping blocks next to newer townhouses and estate homes. Access can change from street to street, so we pick the truck for your site before it leaves the yard.
Truck choice up north usually comes down to the street. In Kedron, Wavell Heights and Everton Park, tight driveways tend to get the 13-tonne body truck; around Bridgeman Downs, Bald Hills and Carseldine, open sites and bigger jobs have room for the twin steer or truck and dog.
Local ground conditions
A lot of established North Brisbane sits on heavy clay that’s slow to drain after summer storms. Clay under a lawn stays wet and packs down, so a proper layer of under turf soil does more for new turf than anything else. On clay garden beds, build them up with garden soil rather than digging down.
| Typical North Brisbane job | What to order |
|---|---|
| New lawn on clay | Under turf soil 100mm, then turf |
| Raised veggie beds | Veggie mix 250–300mm |
| Drainage behind retaining walls | 20mm blue metal or recycled concrete |

It comes down to the size of the order and how easy your site is to reach. The 13-tonne body truck handles tight access, the 17-tonne twin steer suits most jobs, and the 33-tonne truck and dog needs space to turn.
The delivery price depends on your suburb, how much you order and which truck the job needs. Send us your address and product list and we’ll confirm the delivered price before you book.
Yes, within reason. Point us to the spot, whether that’s the driveway or the front lawn, and the driver will tip there as long as the ground is firm and clear and there’s height for the tipper to rise.
