Bedding Sand is the smooth, compactable layer pavers are laid on. It’s usually screeded 20–30mm deep over a compacted sub-base of road base or crusher dust.
Brickies Loam is a fine sand containing some clay. Mixed with cement and lime, it makes mortar for bricklaying and blockwork.
Electrical Sand is a clean, fine sand that beds and covers underground electrical cables and conduit in trenches, keeping sharp stones away from them.
